South Waziristan Lower: A Wana Market Blast killed three people, including tribal elder Malik Tariq Khan, near Khanzada Market in Wana Bazaar after an improvised explosive device hit his vehicle.
According to security sources, the explosion occurred near the market gate and also killed Malik Sarfaraz Khan Yargul Khel.
Initial reports indicate that two people were seriously injured in the blast. Rescue teams transported them to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana for treatment.

Security sources confirmed that Malik Tariq Khan was the chief of the Ahmedzai Wazir tribe. They said the attackers had targeted his vehicle in the market area. No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
