NEW YORK: US stock futures were little changed Tuesday after an AI-driven rally lifted Wall Street a day earlier. Lower oil prices also supported market sentiment.

Early Tuesday trading showed S&P 500 futures up about 0.1%. Dow futures gained roughly 0.3%, while Nasdaq futures were little changed, according to Investopedia.

The muted moves followed strong gains on Monday. The Nasdaq Composite jumped 2.3% to a record 27,122.09. The S&P 500 rose 1.5%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.7%.

Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ: META) climbed more than 11% during Monday’s session. The rally followed strong early adoption of its Muse AI agent. Advanced Micro Devices and Intel also posted sharp gains.

US stock futures meandered Tuesday morning with traders holding onto big AI-fueled gains and looked for positive developments in the Middle East conflict that would lead to lower oil prices https://t.co/HAZeWek39y

The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index surged 4.3%, reflecting renewed demand for AI-linked chip stocks. The Nasdaq recorded its first record close since early June.

Oil prices provided another market catalyst. Brent crude traded below USD 100 a barrel Tuesday after reports that Iran had offered a conditional path to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days.

Concerns continued over Middle East supply disruptions and inflation risks. Traders remained focused on whether lower energy costs could persist.
