Indian Border Security Force (BSF) opened intense unprovoked fire in the Shakarghar sector of Narowal district late yesterday night.
According to Punjab Rangers, intermittent firing continued till early Thursday morning. Pakistan Rangers troops effectively responded to Indian firing almost immediately, however, there were no immediate reports of casualties.
Chenab Rangers soldiers were martyred yesterday at the same sector in firing by Indian troops, due to which there was a strong protest from Islamabad.
