Washington, United States: President Donald Trump used his Trump Iran remarks on Truth Social to claim Iran had escaped consequences for 47 years before his administration.
Trump said Iran had been “completely defeated militarily” and accused Democratic leaders of misreading Tehran’s position
The United States, whose capital is Washington, and Iran, whose capital is Tehran, have faced renewed tensions after months of conflict and diplomacy.
Trump criticised former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden in the post. He argued that Iran had shown them no respect.
In a second post, Trump rejected claims from Democrats that Iran was stronger than it had been three months earlier.
Trump claimed Iran had no navy or air force after the conflict. The comments followed a fragile US-Iran agreement and renewed debate in Washington over whether the deal weakened or strengthened Tehran’s position. Trump framed the outcome as proof that “America is back.”
