Washington, United States: Trump America 250 speech criticism followed the president’s appearance at the Great American State Fair, which opened America’s 250th anniversary events on the National Mall.
Donald Trump spoke near the Washington Monument on Wednesday at a launch event attended by cabinet members and House Speaker Mike Johnson. Democrats were not visible at the event, while Trump supporters wore Make America Great Again hats and America 250 caps.
Trump used the speech to revisit political themes, including criticism of the previous administration, transgender issues and his proposal to rename the Gulf of Mexico.
'America is back! Nobody is laughing at us anymore.'

Trump also praised the restoration of a Christopher Columbus statue and criticised alleged vandalism near the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool.
Several entertainers who had been expected to perform withdrew before the event, the report said. The revised programme included the US Marine Band and tenor Christopher Macchio. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy addressed the crowd and praised Trump.
Lee Greenwood performed “God Bless the USA” as military jets flew overhead during the ceremony. Trump spoke for less than 30 minutes and mostly followed a prepared text.

The president said the United States was “superior to any nation” and described the country as carrying “the light of western civilisation.”
Trump made the remarks near the Smithsonian Institution museums, which have faced pressure from his administration.
The Trump America 250 speech ended with supporters joining him in a “Make America Great Again” chant. Trump also promoted a July 4 event on the National Mall and urged supporters to attend.
