Three accused were killed in late Sunday night police encounters in Kharadar and Baldia localities of Karachi.
The law enforcement agencies have stepped up their crackdown against criminals in their ongoing targeted operation in karachi. In a late night shootout between police and gunmen in Kharadar a suspect was killed, while his two accomplices managed to escape from the scene under the cover of darkness.
Police have claimed to kill two extortionists in another encounter in Shanti Nagar area of Baldia Town. Police also captured arms and ammunition from the possession of the accused.
In yet another encounter police arrested two suspects in injured condition after engaging them in a gunfight near Urdu University in Gulshan Iqbal.
