Defending the coalition with PPP, Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Dr. Farooq Sattar said that that one-third of Karachi was actually governed by terrorists and to ensure Karachi’s security, it was necessary that MQM and PPP join hands together.
Farooq Sattar futher added that Altaf Hussain, had warned the nation against extremism and danger associated with dealing with terrorists a decade ago, but no one paid any attention.
“Now everybody can see for themselves that ‘it was not a false alarm’. Now the enemy is not at the gates, it is living amongst us”, a worried Sattar said. He said for durable peace in the urban centre of Pakistan an unbiased action against the criminal elements was absolutely indispensable.
“For that all the political stakeholders will have to be on the same page. No “two pages” about it”, the MQM leader stressed.
