LOS ANGELES: Taylor Swift, Lisa and Charli XCX were among the stars arriving at the Peacock Theatre on Sunday for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
Teyana Taylor, Tyla, Normani, Raye and Troye Sivan also appeared on the red carpet before the ceremony. Snoop Dogg is hosting the 43rd edition of the awards show.
The ceremony is airing live from Los Angeles, with CBS carrying the US broadcast alongside an MTV simulcast and Paramount+ streaming.
Madonna leads this year’s nominations with 13, followed by Swift with 11 and Sabrina Carpenter with nine. Nirvana will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

Swift will accept the inaugural Artist Director Honours and premiere the music video for her single “Patient Zero,” featuring Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell.
Presenters include Charli xcx, Teyana Taylor and Tyla, along with Off Campus stars Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright.
Other arrivals included Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton, Emma Bunton, David Corenswet, PinkPantheress, Shaboozey, Chloe Bailey and Adam Lambert.

Photographers also captured Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear at the ceremony. Paramount+ and MTV will air the show globally the following day.
