ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the Tank terror attack on Monday after a bombing targeted police personnel on Tank-Waziristan Road, martyring three officers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the attack, according to the source account. The martyred personnel included an Assistant Sub-Inspector.
The President’s Media Wing said Zardari expressed grief over the martyrdom of the police personnel and extended condolences to their families.
Zardari prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks. He also prayed for strength and patience for the bereaved families.
The president said police and other law enforcement agencies were making sacrifices for Pakistan’s peace, security and stability.

He said the nation saluted the courage of the fallen officers. He added that anti-Pakistan terrorist elements with external support would not succeed in their designs.
Zardari reaffirmed the state’s resolve to defeat hostile attempts and continue efforts to eliminate terrorism across the country.
