Actor Sydney Sweeney performed a wing-walking stunt on an airborne biplane. She went upside down during aerial manoeuvres before jokingly telling Tom Cruise to “watch out.”
The “Euphoria” star posted a video of the Sydney Sweeney wing walk on Instagram on Monday, August 24. She was secured to the aircraft, wearing protective goggles and a safety vest as the biplane completed turns and rolls.
Footage showed Sweeney standing on the aircraft before the manoeuvres left her momentarily inverted in mid-air. The Wing Walk Company, a UK-based operator that hosted the experience, later praised her performance in a comment on the post.

Sweeney accompanied the clip with the caption, “Watch out Tom Cruise.” This drew a playful comparison with Cruise’s reputation for performing his own action stunts.
The reference echoed Cruise’s aerial sequence in the 2025 film “Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning.” For that production, Cruise performed wing-walking work on an 80-year-old Stearman biplane during high-altitude aerial manoeuvres.

The comparison was presented as a joke rather than an actual stunt rivalry. Cruise had not publicly responded to Sweeney’s post at the time of reporting. However, the official “Top Gun” Instagram account commented with a reference to the franchise’s “need for speed” line.
