A senior police officer was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Karachi. The deceased was serving as Station House Officer (S.H.O) of Preedy Police Station.
According to details, SHO Ghazanfar Kazmi’s car was attacked by unknown assailants when he was leaving the Saddar Town’s Preedy Police Station to go home.
The officer was shot six times. Kazmi received four bullets on his head and fell dead on the spot.
Karachi Police chief Ghulam Qadir Thebo informed media that the brave SHO had received several death threats in past but had carried on his duties, undeterred.
A five member commission headed by DIG South Abdul Khaliq Sheikh has been formed to investigate the brutal murder of the martyred officer so as to bring his murderers to justice as soon as possible.
