KARACHI, Sindh: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon filed an NCCIA complaint over social media allegations linking him and his son, Rawal Memon, to the killing of businessman Mir Raza Ali.
Memon submitted the written complaint to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Karachi Zone on August 9 through his lawyer, Advocate Syeda Malaika Naqvi. He described the allegations as false, fabricated and malicious.
The complaint targeted unidentified social media accounts, pages and groups accused of spreading material that damaged the reputation of Memon and his son. It asked the NCCIA to identify those operating the accounts through technical and forensic investigation.
Rawal Memon, who the source said was in London on holiday, said that he was shocked by the allegations. Moreover, he described the posts as an organised smear campaign and called for those responsible to face legal action.
The disputed social media posts included claims about ownership of a Gulistan-e-Jauhar guesthouse and Rawal Memon’s travel to London. In addition, the complaint also challenged allegations that Memon’s political party had interfered with the investigation or protected people involved in the case.

The application said similar wording appeared across at least four social media pages. The complainant argued this could indicate a coordinated campaign. It requested a forensic audit, including IP logs and available device and SIM registration data, to trace the operators.
Mir Raza Ali’s body was found in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar area a day after he went missing on July 28.
