Arifwala: A school wall collapsed as Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s helicopter landed at a temporary helipad. No injuries were reported.
Video of the incident showed the school’s outer boundary wall giving way as the helicopter descended in a housing colony.
Initial information attributed the collapse to strong air pressure generated during the aircraft’s landing. Maryam Nawaz had travelled to Arifwala, Punjab, to inaugurate Eminence School.
People were visible near the temporary landing site, but luckily, no one was injured when the wall fell. Even in the video, it was clear that Punjab police personnel were near the wall.
Authorities had not issued a detailed statement on the wall’s condition, the helipad’s safety arrangements or possible repair work.
