Islamabad: The State Bank of Pakistan extended SBP banking hours for selected bank branches on June 27, 29 and 30 to facilitate government duty and tax payments.
The SBP said it took the decision at the request of the Federal Board of Revenue. The move covers payments made through Over-the-Counter channels and Alternative Delivery Channels.
All Saturday-opening branches of commercial banks and National Bank of Pakistan branches handling customs collections will remain open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Commercial bank branches will remain open until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 29, and until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. The schedule applies to branches covered by the SBP instructions.

NBP branches handling customs collections will observe extended hours on June 29 and June 30. Those branches will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30.
The SBP advised banks to keep concerned branches open for as long as required to support special clearing of government transactions conducted by National Institutional Facilitation Technologies.
Banks were also directed to ensure uninterrupted digital payment channels. The SBP named internet banking, mobile banking apps, ATMs and other digital platforms for online duty and tax payments.
