MOSCOW: Russia warned on Monday that reports of possible new strikes on Iran were deeply alarming and urged more diplomacy to prevent further fighting.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described signs of renewed military action as “extremely alarming”. She called on those threatening fresh attacks to reconsider.
Zakharova accused the United States and Israel of unprovoked aggression against Iran. She argued that further strikes would not break the Iranian people’s resolve to defend their country.
Separately, Moscow’s offer to take Iran’s highly enriched uranium remains available. However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei ruled out transferring the material abroad on Monday.

Meanwhile, Tehran and Washington continue exchanging messages through regional mediators, including Qatar and Pakistan. US President Donald Trump raised the possibility of further military action at a weekend rally.
Reports suggest new strikes could follow the US midterm elections, but no fresh attack order has been confirmed.
