The Punjab Negahban ATM Cards Ramzan Package has officially begun, marking the rollout of a major financial assistance initiative for families across the province. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the start of card delivery, describing the program as a step toward ensuring dignity and ease during Ramzan.

Under the Rs 40 billion initiative, 4 million families will receive financial support. The government aims to ensure assistance reaches households without long queues or administrative hurdles. Officials have designed the process to remain fully digital and transparent.

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) manages the registration and distribution system. Authorities say this approach strengthens accountability while reducing manual delays.

Beneficiaries can activate their Negahban Cards at 160 dedicated centres established by district administrations at every tehsil. In addition, more than 20,000 branchless banking outlets under the Bank of Punjab, including HBL Konnect, AlfaPay, and UBL Omni agents, are facilitating activation and withdrawals.

The government has also set up a helpline at 08000-2345 for information and support. Officials encourage families to verify details through official channels before visiting centres.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that no family should feel unsupported during the holy month. She emphasised that Ramzan is a time of compassion and collective responsibility.

Authorities highlight that the entire system operates digitally. PITB oversees verification, distribution tracking, and monitoring to ensure funds reach eligible families. Officials describe the process as structured to prevent misuse and enhance transparency.

In addition to the Ramzan Package, the Punjab government has launched a separate digital initiative titled “Talk to CM.” The portal enables young citizens to submit ideas, feedback, and suggestions directly to the Chief Minister.

Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the platform provides structured engagement for youth across the province. Users can submit proposals regarding development projects and government programs through an online interface.

The portal also features a dedicated section for individuals aged 20 and above. Officials describe the move as part of broader efforts to expand youth participation in governance.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has declared 2026 the “Year of Youth,” signalling a greater focus on youth-led ideas and initiatives.

Together, the Ramzan assistance initiative and the Talk to CM platform reflect a dual focus on welfare delivery and digital engagement.
