Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman signed the summary dissolving the provincial assembly.
According to sources, the governor of Punjab signed the summary at the suggestion of Pervaiz Elahi, the province’s chief executive.
They claim that a notification for the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly will be issued shortly after speaking with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Two days prior, chief executive Pervaiz Elahi issued a report to Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman requesting the dissolution of the provincial assembly.
In brief, a one-line letter to Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman, Elahi, stated, “I, Parvez Elahi, chief minister of Punjab, advise you to dissolve the provincial legislature.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry revealed to the media following Elahi’s meeting with Imran that Elahi had signed the summary and that the advice had been submitted to the Punjab governor.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly would be dissolved “the day after tomorrow,” according to Fawad.
It is crucial to note that Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry dissolved the provincial parliament early Thursday morning after receiving a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly (PA).
Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Sibtain Khan presided over the session in which PTI leader and PA member Mian Aslam Iqbal introduced a motion of confidence in the Chief Minister.
According to the speaker, 186 members of the ruling coalition supported the Chief Minister’s leadership, while the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) boycotted the session.
