The PTI party nominated Omar Ayub Khan for prime minister, Mian Aslam Iqbal for Punjab chief minister, Salar Khan for Balochistan chief minister, and Aqib Ullah Khan for K-P Assembly speaker. These decisions were made after a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, revealed by Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, acting PTI Chairman.
Barrister Gohar announced imminent nominations for other key roles and underscored PTI’s commitment to ensuring Omar Ayub Khan’s election as prime minister. He highlighted a preference for opposition over coalition with rivals if securing central power proves challenging. Furthermore, PTI declined power-sharing with PML-N and PPP, urging the judiciary to expedite the review of election petitions.
The PTI plans Nationwide protests against election rigging, inviting participation from all affected parties. Sher Afzal Marwat, a senior PTI leader, discussed shifting from a long march to a focused protest, emphasizing the importance of public support and cautioning against misinformation.
The party aims to expose electoral fraud through a media presentation. Asad Qaiser, another PTI leader, criticized the recent elections and advocated for legal challenges, calling for judicial oversight to maintain order. PTI remains firm in contesting the election results, signaling intensified political activity.
