The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday named Babar Azam captain of the PSL 11 Team of the Tournament. This was after his title-winning campaign with Peshawar Zalmi.
The team includes three players each from Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen. In addition, there are two from Lahore Qalandars, two from Islamabad United, and one each from Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said the selection was made by a five-member panel from the commentary team. Babar finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 588 runs and won the Hanif Mohammad Cap.
He also equalled Fakhar Zaman’s record for most runs in a single Pakistan Super League season, set in 2022.
Peshawar Zalmi’s Kusal Mendis and Sufyan Moqim were also named in the XI. Mendis scored 550 runs and made eight dismissals as wicketkeeper.
Sufyan took 22 wickets at an average of 14.40 and an economy rate of 7.20. As a result, he earned Player of the Tournament and Best Bowler honours.
Hyderabad Kingsmen were represented by Usman Khan, Hassan Khan and Hunain Shah. Usman scored 389 runs, while Hunain took 17 wickets in 10 matches.
Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman and Shaheen Shah Afridi were included after scoring 401 runs and taking 16 wickets, respectively.

Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan was named after scoring 173 runs and taking 17 wickets. Meanwhile, teammate Richard Gleeson was picked for his new-ball performances. Quetta Gladiators’ Hasan Nawaz was named the 12th player after scoring 291 runs.
