The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday named Babar Azam captain of the PSL 11 Team of the Tournament. This was after his title-winning campaign with Peshawar Zalmi.

The team includes three players each from Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen. In addition, there are two from Lahore Qalandars, two from Islamabad United, and one each from Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said the selection was made by a five-member panel from the commentary team. Babar finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 588 runs and won the Hanif Mohammad Cap.

He also equalled Fakhar Zaman’s record for most runs in a single Pakistan Super League season, set in 2022.
