The Pakistan Peoples Party has raised PPP budget reservations with the federal government over alleged discrepancies in the federal budget 2026-27, party sources said.
According to sources, the PPP leadership decided to formally contact the government to seek clarification on key aspects of the final budget document. The party said some allocations and figures differed from the version earlier shared with it.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received a briefing from the party’s budget team earlier in the day. Sources said the team expressed dissatisfaction with several budget provisions.

Bilawal postponed his scheduled address to the National Assembly after the briefing. Sources said he would speak in the House after the government gives a formal explanation on the disputed budget points.
Party insiders said the PPP would review the government’s response before deciding its next course of action on the budget. They said the party’s budget team had already conveyed its concerns internally.
The development points to renewed strain between coalition partners as consultations on the federal budget 2026-27 continue.
