According to details, in the current year eight new polio cases have emerged. The polio cases in the current year has broken fourteen-year-old record.
Four new cases have emerged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), two in federally administrated tribal areas (FATA), one in Balochistan and and one in Sindh.
Earlier this year, World Health Organization (WHO) had declared mandatory polio vaccination for Pakistani-travellers travelling abroad.
