Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left for Kazakhstan here Tuesday on a two-day official visit of the Central Asian Republic.
The Prime Minister, who is accompanied by a high-level delegation, was undertaking this visit at the invitation of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev.
During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif will discuss with Kazakh leadership ways to boost their bilateral ties and will hold meetings with President Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Massimov.
The leaders will discuss bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
A number of agreements and MoUs are also expected to be signed during the visit.
Commerce Minister Engr Khurram Dastgir, State Minister for Petroleum Jam Kamal, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi, Chairman BOI Mifta Ismail and senior officials are accompanying the Prime Minister.
