Singer Pink said her 15-year-old daughter, Willow, was the reason she agreed to host the 2026 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
The 46-year-old Grammy winner said she first sought Willow’s approval after being asked to host the 79th annual ceremony. Pink said she felt nervous because she had never performed on Broadway.
Pink said Willow’s excitement about attending the event helped her accept the offer. She described her daughter as a tough crowd and said she wanted to make her proud.
The singer opened Sunday’s ceremony with a shout-out to Willow. She joked that she was Broadway’s second-biggest fan after her daughter.

Pink also joked that she did not take the hosting job only so Willow could get backstage Broadway selfies. She then admitted they had already taken a few before the show.
