KARACHI, Sindh: A PIA passenger died after collapsing in the parking area of Jinnah International Airport shortly after arriving from Lahore, officials said Tuesday.
The passenger was identified as Muhammad Arshad, officials said. Officials said Arshad had travelled from Lahore to Karachi on Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-304.
He lost consciousness moments after reaching the airport’s parking area, according to the report. A Civil Aviation Authority doctor examined him after a citizen raised an alert.

The doctor confirmed that Arshad had died, officials said. Officials said Arshad was a former employee of the national flag carrier.
His national identity card, passport and airline ticket were recovered from his belongings. Airport authorities said the body was shifted to the PIA Medical Centre for legal formalities.
