PESHAWAR: A Peshawar house fire killed six members of one family in the Tehkal Payan area on Thursday, Rescue 1122 officials said.
The victims included a husband, his wife and their four children. Rescue teams found all six bodies inside one room after controlling the blaze. Officials said the family died from smoke, suffocation and burn injuries.
The fire began in a part of the house used to store furniture and other household items. Those materials may have helped the flames spread, rescue officials said.

Emergency teams launched a search operation after extinguishing the fire. They then recovered the bodies from the house.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the blaze. Rescue officials said an investigation was underway.
