The Peshawar Electric Supply Company Board of Directors has approved a PESCO annual bonus equal to one month’s basic salary for eligible employees for fiscal year 2025–26.
According to a PESCO notification, regular, contract and deputation employees will receive the bonus if they have remained on the payroll for at least six months.
The company said lump-sum and daily-wage employees will receive an amount equal to one month’s initial basic pay.
Employees involved in corruption, power theft or misconduct will not qualify for the incentive. PESCO said employees facing inquiries by the National Accountability Bureau, the Federal Investigation Agency, or any other inquiry body will also be excluded.
The notification said that employees who received major disciplinary penalties will not be eligible for the performance bonus.

PESCO also excluded officers responsible for delays in net metering approvals and billing-related connections. Employees found responsible for delays in resolving complaints registered through the 118 Complaint Portal will lose eligibility.
The decision came a day after Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi directed PESCO to avoid unannounced load-shedding across the province, especially in Dera Ismail Khan, during Muharram-ul-Haram.
The directive was issued during a meeting at the Governor’s House with a PESCO delegation led by Chief Executive Engineer Akhtar Hameed Khan. The governor was informed that equipment for the Band Korai Grid Station had been delivered.
