Former FC Barcelona forward Pau Víctor said Catalan is spoken extensively in the club’s dressing room, describing his time under coach Hansi Flick in an interview on the programme “La Sotana.”
Víctor, 24, who joined Primeira Liga side Sporting de Braga in 2025, recounted dressing-room exchanges with current Barcelona players. “In Barcelona’s dressing room, Catalan is spoken a great deal,” he said.
The Girona-born forward, a product of Barcelona’s youth academy, joked about his limited playing time at the club and shared banter aimed at midfielder Marc Casadó.
Asked about goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny’s habits, Víctor said he had only seen the Poland international use a vape and clarified that any smoking took place outside the dressing room, not inside. “It wasn’t inside the locker room… It was a corner outside,” he said, adding that no-smoking posters were displayed there.
Víctor, who also previously played for Sabadell, has recorded 17 goals and six assists in 56 matches in his first season with Braga.
