Pakistan passport services have been temporarily suspended at Pakistani embassies and foreign missions worldwide due to technical issues at Passport Headquarters in Islamabad.
The suspension will remain in place until further notice, according to notices issued by Pakistani embassies in different countries.
Pakistani missions have informed citizens through official social media pages and said service resumption will be announced on the same platforms.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Muscat told the Pakistani community in Oman that passport operations at all Pakistani foreign missions, including the Muscat embassy, had been suspended due to technical issues at the headquarters in Islamabad.
“The inconvenience is deeply regretted,” the Muscat embassy said in its Facebook notice.

The Pakistani Embassy in Saudi Arabia issued a similar notice, saying passport operations at all Pakistani foreign missions would remain suspended until further notice.
The embassy said the resumption of services would be announced through its social media platforms.
