Declaring Pakistan a ‘polio exporter’, World Health Organization (WHO) has strongly recommended restrictions on passengers travelling abroad without poliovirus vaccination certificate.
If the ban is imposed as recommended then any outbound passenger, who fails to produce polio inoculation certification before the Pakistani immigration authorities, will not be allowed to leave the country.
Unfortunately, Pakistan’s failure to stem the spread of polio has triggered the global emergency health measures forcing the WHO to recommend that the residents of the country must show proof of vaccination before they are allowed to leave the country.
