LOS ANGELES: The Outer Banks finale ended the Netflix drama’s five-season run on August 20, with the Pogues recovering the Royal Merchant gold and beginning new lives.
The 10-episode final season is now streaming on Netflix, according to PEOPLE. Kiara, played by actor Madison Bailey, bought back JJ’s family property and began working as a marine biology intern.
Bailey told PEOPLE she felt good about ending Kiara’s story “with a smile on her face.” Pope, played by Jonathan Daviss, reunited with Cleo, played by Carlacia Grant.

The characters returned to Kildare after Pope proposed again. John B., played by Chase Stokes, and Sarah Cameron, played by Madelyn Cline, rebuilt the Chateau.
Sarah also gave birth to a son named JJ in memory of their friend. A one-year flash-forward showed John B. and Sarah getting married.

Rafe, played by Drew Starkey, fled Kildare with Sofia after his role in Sheriff Peterkin’s death was exposed.
Starkey told PEOPLE he was happy that Rafe ultimately found connection with people he cared about. The finale closed the series after a run that began on Netflix in 2020.
