Lahore, Punjab: Actor and model Momina Iqbal has asked police to register a Momina Iqbal FIR against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA Saqib Chadhar over alleged harassment, blackmail and death threats.
Iqbal filed the application at the Chung Police Station on Friday, according to local media reports and the complaint details. She alleged that Chadhar called her and her fiancé, used threats and sent WhatsApp messages and video calls.
The actor claimed the lawmaker began blackmailing her after she rejected his marriage proposal. She said she refused after learning that Chadhar was already married to two women, according to the police application.
Reports said Iqbal visited the police station with her lawyers and informed Station House Officer Faheem Imdad about the matter. The application also alleged that similar threatening messages reached her sister’s phone.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said on X that any attempt to use political influence, pressure or threats in the case would face “firm and uncompromising action.” She said the issue would be handled on merit and in line with the law.
Iqbal earlier tagged the PML-N leadership in a social media post and alleged that she had faced online harassment, cyberbullying and death threats for a long time. She claimed she had approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency and the Federal Investigation Agency, but no action followed.
Chadhar’s counsel denied the allegations, according to the Free Press Journal, saying the claims were unfounded and that the two had shared a personal relationship. The allegations have not been proven in court
