Microsoft AI tools for PC and cloud developers are expected to lead the agenda on Tuesday as the company opens its Build 2026 conference in San Francisco.
Microsoft said Build 2026 runs from June 2 to June 3 in San Francisco and online. The company said the event will focus on AI-powered tools and platforms for developers.
Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella is expected to outline Microsoft’s plans for AI in cloud services and personal computers. Microsoft competes in cloud AI while also investing in OpenAI.
Analysts expect Microsoft to address safer use of agentic AI tools in business settings. These tools can direct groups of AI agents to carry out routine digital tasks.
Developers are also watching for details on how Microsoft will support Nvidia’s new AI PC chip. The chip is expected to bring more AI processing directly to laptops and desktops.
