Iran’s Mahsa Beheshti won six gold medals at the 2026 Asian Youth & Junior Championships in Tashkent.
She lifted 113kg in the snatch and 148kg in the clean and jerk. Her 261kg total completed a sweep of the youth +77kg category.
The broadcaster said those marks also topped the junior 86kg standings. Beheshti therefore took snatch, clean-and-jerk and total gold in both divisions. Press TV said she did not need to compete in a second lifting session.
Teammate Hosna Amiri won junior +86kg snatch silver with 104kg, according to the report. She added total bronze after lifting 120kg in the clean and jerk for 224kg.

Roya Nouri-Nezhad earned clean-and-jerk bronze at 121kg. She placed fourth overall with a 219kg total.
Press TV said Iran’s women’s youth team scored 534 points and finished second. Kazakhstan won with 551 points, while hosts Uzbekistan placed third with 514.
The report added that Iran’s youth men placed second with 530 points. The Asian Weightlifting Federation scheduled the championships from August 7 to 14 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
