Tehran: Khamenei’s funeral proceedings are expected to draw Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to Iran in early July.
According to Pakistani and Iranian-linked reports, Shehbaz and Bilawal would travel to Iran this week to attend the funeral of the late Iranian leader.
During the Iran leg, Bilawal is likely to hold meetings with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and senior officials.
Shehbaz would travel to Turkiye on July 4 for engagements, including a working session with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf invited National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to a July 3 condolence ceremony in Tehran.

The brief said Ghalibaf praised Pakistan-Iran ties and expressed support for strengthening relations based on dignity, honour and mutual cooperation.
Al Jazeera, citing Iranian state media, reported that funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would begin in Tehran on July 4.
The e main funeral gathering was expected in Tehran on July 6, with major crowds anticipated along Enghelab, Lashkari and Azadi Roads.
Funeral prayers are also expected in Tehran, Qom and Mashhad, with mourners expected from Iran and abroad. Khamenei would be buried in his hometown of Mashhad on July 9.
