Pune Rural Police recreated the Ketan Agarwal murder scene at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra after arresting his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary.
Police allege Agarwal, a Pune-based businessman, was pushed into a gorge at the fort on June 18 after initially appearing to have died in an accidental fall.
Outlook, citing Press Trust of India, reported that police took Goyal to the fort on June 28 for crime-scene reconstruction. Police said Chaudhary would be taken separately.
Investigators allege Goyal and Chaudhary conspired to kill Agarwal because she did not want to proceed with their planned marriage, according to multiple Indian reports.

Police believe Goyal sat at a pre-arranged spot near the Vinchu Kata ridge as a signal before Chaudhary pushed Agarwal.
Police also examined digital and CCTV clues. Chaudhary left his phone at his shop, used an employee’s phone and appeared in CCTV footage wearing a hoodie in 33°C heat.
The Indian Express reported that Goyal and Chaudhary exchanged more than 4,400 calls over a six-month period. Both accused have been arrested.
