KARACHI: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) has denied making unauthorised salary deductions. It attributed lower net pay in some employees’ latest payslips to routine General Provident Fund (GPF) contributions.
Chief Financial Officer Ammar Ali Khan linked the missing GPF entry in the previous month’s payroll to a software upgrade. He said the latest payroll includes the contribution.
Employees can ask the corporation’s finance department to explain GPF contributions or other deductions on their payslips.

KW&SC’s Corporate Communication Department issued the clarification.
Khan also said the corporation issued pension payments to all its pensioners on Wednesday.
