Karachi, Sindh, faced prolonged load shedding as residents in several areas reported hours-long, unannounced power outages amid rising temperatures.
Residents in Azizabad, Malir, Gadap, Kathore, Ahsanabad and Liaquatabad reported prolonged power outages.
People in Manzoor Colony, Sher Shah and Baldia said outages were lasting between 12 and 16 hours a day.
In Azizabad, residents staged a protest against prolonged loadshedding and chanted slogans against K-Electric. Men, women and children joined the demonstration and demanded immediate relief from power outages.

Residents said the power cuts had disrupted daily routines during the summer heat.
Students preparing for examinations said they were struggling to study without electricity during peak heat hours.
Families also reported water shortages in several neighbourhoods, saying electricity outages had disrupted water supply systems.
Locals urged K-Electric management to take notice of the situation and end prolonged, unannounced outages.
