An Islamabad police officer was suspended after a viral video appeared to show him slapping a young man during a roadside stop in the New Blue Area.
The footage showed police personnel stopping three young men and asking them to produce documents. One man handed over the documents before the officer slapped him on the face, according to the video.
Senior Superintendent of Police Suleman Zafar took notice of the incident and ordered the officer’s suspension.

SSP Suleman Zafar said police personnel would not tolerate inappropriate behaviour toward citizens.
