The cause lists for the Federal Constitutional Court and the Islamabad High Court were cancelled on Tuesday due to Red Zone security during Iranian President Dr Masoud Pezeshkian’s visit.
The Federal Constitutional Court Registrar’s Office said the cause list was cancelled because road closures around the Red Zone would create difficulties for lawyers and litigants reaching the court.
The Islamabad High Court also cancelled its cause list, citing security arrangements in the federal capital for the Iranian president’s visit. All Federal Constitutional Court hearings fixed for Tuesday were cancelled.
Islamabad’s district courts will remain open as per routine. The cancellation applied to the higher courts’ listed hearings for the day.
