Major General Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), dismissed President Donald Trump’s victory claims as imaginary on Friday.
“You can win every day in your own imagination,” Rezaei wrote on X. Instead, he argued that Iran’s people, soldiers and missiles were shaping events on the ground.
Rezaei accused Trump of repeated failures and criticised his continuing declarations of success against Iran.
Meanwhile, Trump told reporters on Thursday that Tehran must accept an agreement he considered fair. Otherwise, he threatened, Iran would cease to exist.
Earlier, addressing the United Nations (UN) General Assembly on September 22, Trump described a choice between reaching an agreement and destroying the Islamic Republic.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that Washington has already won the conflict or is approaching victory. However, Rezaei challenged that assessment, saying Iran still has the ability to determine the outcome.

Separately, Trump rejected a proposal to end the war last week. Qatari mediators had conveyed the initiative to Washington.
