TEHRAN, Iran: Iran warned Arab states against allowing the United States or Israel to use their territory for attacks. Tehran said its forces would strike any launch sites.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued the warning on August 1 as military tensions intensified across the Persian Gulf.

Separately, Major General Ali Abdollahi warned regional governments against serving as a US “defensive shield.” He said such involvement would expose those countries to the conflict.

Arab governments reject that argument and insist they have the right to defend their territory. Earlier, US President Donald Trump threatened further military action against Iran. His warning came amid renewed attacks and continued disruption in the Strait of Hormuz.
