TEHRAN: Iran collected 39 medals by the end of day 11 of the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan. Its tally comprised 11 gold, 16 silver and 12 bronze medals.
Gold winners included Greco-Roman wrestler Amin Mirzazadeh, shot-put athlete Mohammadreza Tayebi and weightlifters Ali Alipour and Ali Davoudi. Meanwhile, Mahmoud Nemati and Morteza Nemati won karate titles, while Soheil Mousavi finished first in wushu.
In rowing, Fatemeh Mojallal topped the podium alongside double-scullers Kimia Zarei and Zeinab Norouzi. Kurash athlete Majid Barimanlou also won gold. Hassan Pajani and Abolfazl Aghaei-Nasab secured the eFootball team title.
Iran’s silver winners included gymnasts Arman Khodaei and Mehdi Olfati, as well as athletes Zahra Zarei and Ali Amirian. Both national kabaddi teams finished second.
Wushu competitors Shoja Panahi, Erfan Moharrami and Sogand Sinkaei added silver medals. Karate and rowing teams also contributed to the second-place finishes.
Among the bronze winners were sabre fencer Ali Pakdaman, discus thrower Sadegh Samimi and table tennis player Noshad Alamian.

Iran’s men’s basketball and 3×3 basketball teams finished third, alongside medal-winning entries in canoeing, shooting, weightlifting, kurash and boxing.
Iran sent 305 athletes to compete across 38 sporting disciplines. The Games opened on September 19 and conclude on Sunday.
