Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) senator Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qayyum Saturday insisted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan had made Panama Papers a political issue without himself being held under any probe into the matter.
Talking to a tv channel, he said Imran Khan had admitted that he had set up offshore companies when he was playing county cricket in the United Kingdom.
He said although Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s name was not mentioned in the Panama Papers yet he had presented himself and his family for accountability.
Abdul Qayyum said the Prime Minister had formed a judicial commission to carry out investigation into the Panama Papers.
“The accountability should be conducted across the board against all the corrupt”, he added.
