The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday directed authorities to quash cases against 650 political workers arrested over violation of Section-144 in Islamabad.
Chief Justice IHC issued the orders while hearing a case. He, however, observed during the hearing that no one should be allowed to take steps above the law.
Islamabad’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) and Lahore High Court (LHC) have separately released nearly 165 workers of PTI and PAT on bail, including those involved in attack on state buildings in Islamabad Red Zone during the ongoing protest sit-in.
