KARACHI: IEEEP Fair 2026 was soft-launched in Karachi. Organisers said more than 200 local and international exhibitors will join the electrical and electronics event.
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Pakistan Karachi Centre and Badar Expo Solutions held the launch at a local hotel.
The main exhibition will take place from August 18 to 20, 2026, at the Karachi Expo Centre, the organisers said.
Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said Pakistan needed to reduce reliance on imported technology. Additionally, he said the country should focus on local innovation.
Magoon said the event would help connect engineering talent with industrial growth and support FPCCI’s vision for technology-led industrial development.
Shahab Qamar Ansari, Secretary of Energy, Sindh, said the province had major energy corridors. Furthermore, he said the Sindh Energy Department would support the IEEEP Fair participants.
Engr Muhammad Navid Akram Ansari, Chairman of IEEEP Karachi Centre, said the fair would cover electrical, electronics, renewable energy and allied engineering technologies.
He said the 15th edition would also launch the “Made in Pakistan Excellence Awards.” This would recognise firms that manufacture and export Pakistani engineering products.

Zohair Naseer, Chief Executive Officer of Badar Expo Solutions, said the fair would connect local manufacturers with buyers. Also, it would showcase Pakistan’s industrial capacity.
The ceremony was also attended by Arif Lakhani, Vice President of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In addition, Engr Khalid Pervaiz and diplomats from the United States and the Russian Federation attended.
