Humera Ashique’s became the first women to get Pakistan a gold medal in Judo at an International event,
Ashique reportedly defeated a Nepalese athlete to clinch the 48kg event in the 2014 South Asian Judo Championship in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Humera said that, “she was tired of failing to win the ultimate title, but after many years of hard work she managed to win a gold medal, and feels relieved now.”
