The Dallas Cowboys have selected Texas-native Post Malone as the headline performer for their 2025 Thanksgiving Halftime Show. The announcement has generated significant excitement for one of the most-watched musical events in professional sports.

Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post, grew up in Grapevine, Texas, just outside Dallas. His selection represents a meaningful homecoming for the international superstar, who spent his formative years in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The artist expressed his enthusiasm for the performance, stating, “I’m from Texas. I grew up a Cowboys fan and have been watching this halftime show for years. It’s a real honor to be part of this.”

Post Malone first gained national attention with his 2015 viral hit “White Iverson.” He quickly established himself as a genre-blending artist, incorporating elements of hip-hop, rock, country, and pop into his music.

His subsequent albums, including “Stoney,” “Beerbongs & Bentleys,” and “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” produced multiple chart-topping hits and earned billions of streams worldwide. His recent work shows a stronger influence from country and Americana traditions.

The Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Halftime Show represents one of American television’s most prestigious entertainment platforms. The event partners with The Salvation Army for the Red Kettle Kickoff campaign, combining musical spectacle with charitable giving.

Post Malone’s Texas roots, massive audience appeal, and ability to connect with diverse demographics make him an ideal choice for the holiday broadcast. His performance will blend modern musical innovation with hometown pride for millions of viewers nationwide.
