Rawalpindi, Punjab: Humaira Naseer has become the first Pakistani woman to obtain a Heavy Transport Vehicle, or HTV licence, from Rawalpindi Traffic Police after passing the commercial driving test.
City Traffic Police Rawalpindi said Naseer completed the full licensing process on merit. The department said she also passed a dumper driving assessment at the Old Varan Depot on Peshawar Road in Saddar, Rawalpindi.
Naseer praised the licensing system and the guidance provided by traffic police officials. She said their support made the process easier and encouraged other women drivers to learn traffic laws and apply for proper licences.
“Safe driving is not only a responsibility but also a source of self-reliance,” Naseer said after receiving the licence.
