MARIB, Yemen: Fresh Houthi attacks on Yemen, authorities blamed on the group, struck Marib and Mocha, injuring four people and damaging civilian property, local officials said on Sunday.
Marib’s provincial media office said the Houthis fired six ballistic missiles and launched four drones at residential neighbourhoods on Saturday evening. The strikes damaged homes, vehicles and other property.
One strike hit a bakery in the Al-Sharika neighbourhood north of Marib city and injured one person, according to the provincial statement. Officials said other populated areas were also attacked.
In Mocha, the National Resistance Forces said one missile hit the city. The force, aligned with Yemen’s internationally recognised government, did not provide casualty or damage figures for that strike.

The National Resistance Forces are led by Presidential Leadership Council member Tariq Saleh. The Houthis had not commented on the latest reports at the time of the source’s coverage.

Marib authorities urged the international community to condemn attacks on residential areas, displacement camps and civilian facilities. They also called for the incidents to be documented in accordance with international humanitarian law.
Yemen has seen renewed fighting in several provinces after a relative lull that began in April 2022. The Houthis have controlled the capital, Sanaa, and other areas since 2014.
