The Higher Education Commission has declared the Muslim University Institute of Education and Health Sciences in Hafizabad an HEC illegal institution and warned students against seeking admission there.
HEC said the institute has no legal authority to award chartered degrees in Pakistan. The regulator said it cannot issue any valid degree, diploma, or certificate.
According to the commission, any degree awarded by the Hafizabad-based institute will not be verified or attested by HEC. It advised parents and prospective students to check an institution’s legal status before admission.
HEC said students should confirm whether a university or institute holds valid recognition from the commission. The warning aimed to prevent families from enrolling in unrecognised higher education institutions.
